In the past few years, we have gone from one life-altering experience to another. We have been in a constant state of stress since the Pandemic. We have not only survived a pandemic that polarized the world, our nation, families, and friends, but we have also had to navigate racial tensions, political divides, a war on sexual identity, wildfires, and scandals in entertainment, politics, and religion. I feel like we haven't had time to catch our breath.

I have learned that there is an art to faith, it’s a bit of a creative dance with God. Recently I was in a prayer meeting with other local pastors. We gather and pray for each other's needs and churches; it's a great time to reflect on what God is doing in other churches besides Granite Creek.

Granite Creek’s Mission Statement is “Relationship not Religion”. It’s simple, easy to remember, and to the point of what we do. It’s also the hardest thing we do. Fostering personal relationships within a church, a family, or with friends is hard. I find it even harder developing a “personal relationship” with an unseen person…Jesus.
