K-5th Ministry

At Granite Creek, kids are a priority. One of our values is to see kids grow up to become everything God created them to be as they develop a personal faith and relationship with Christ in a safe and loving environment.

• Children's Ministries K-5th meets upstairs both 9:30 and 11:00. We also offer "special needs" classes or buddies.

Our Elementary Dept. serves children from Kindergarten through 5th grade and is located on the second floor. Children must be checked in by a parent. We encourage parents to pick their child up after service; however, if a parent provides written permission, children 3rd grade and older will be released at the end of the service (day light hours only)

 Our elementary curriculum is a hands on and activity-based learning program. We provide life music worship, and a God-centered environment. Our educational methods extend beyond puzzles and worksheets. Our lessons are enhanced by highly effective skits, professional puppeteers, and game-based leaning experiences. Every student takes home extension activities for parents to participate with their child’s educational program. We want to thank all our elementary teachers for the fine job they do every week. This school year we added new elementary teachers including Perla Dorantes, Adam Gendron, Mike Ortiz, Erin Brook, and Tonya Scott, who are highly devoted and prepared to teach our children. We want to thank Jim Logiudice and his team for the powerful puppet lessons we enjoy every other week.
On Wednesdays, the Creeker’s Club offers a unifying system of Bible study. Each student wears a Creekers Club T-shirt and engages in high energy games. We have a great reward system using coins for participation and learning. At the end of every session, students exchange their coins (golden plated denaries) for candy items. The Wednesday lesson deals with life principles as described in the book of Ecclesiastes. We explored the different aspects of King Solomon’s life. We analyzed his experiences to learn how to have a more purpose-driven life. All lessons are written by our own team and are specific for our program. Starting in 2011 we are planning to implement live worship on Wednesdays as we do on Sundays.
